City Solicitor Nelson A. Diaz, in a memorandum dated Oct. 10, puts Philadelphia among a handful of cities - including New York - that formally refuse to help the federal government pursue ordinary illegal immigrants.

I'm almost certain Los Angeles passed some similar city ordinance about 15 years ago. I used to have the link bookmarked, but I lost it. If someone can provide it, please post.

Yes, Los Angeles is a safe haven for illegals. Those who rent but favor allowing this invasion should never be allowed to complain about high rent. Rents would be substantially lower (that old supply and demand thing) without the huge number of illegal occupants.

In LA its called Special Order 40. Its very special; a little too special Yes, Doug has the right idea, get a lawsuit before an appropriate federal judge.
