Is there some reason why there isn't an Intergenerational Report being produced by our fiscally conservative President and Congress? Is there some reason why intergenerational equity and fiscal sustainability are not regularly discussed on fiscally conservative talk radio, by fiscally conservative columnists, and at fiscally conservative websites in America?
TOPICS: Government
KEYWORDS: equity; fiscal; intergenerational; sustainability
An old article, but I couldn't find anything on the issues of intergenerational equity and fiscal sustainability is the U.S. media and was curious if anyone knew why this would be the case. It seems a strong arguement for limited government.

Perhpas because "intergenerational equity" sounds like a bogus term. Generally whenever I hear the term "equity" being used in a context outside of the stock market, I assume its a bunch of liberals whining for something that isn't theirs. This article might be an exception, but I doubt it.

You mean like, how Social Security is basically a Ponzi scheme to transfer money from young males to old white women? Naah. Nobody cares.

Yeah, I know. I feel the same about "fiscal conservative". Based on results, I'd say "fiscal conservative" is someone who wants to conserve all the massive federal bureaucracies which are endangering the future of America's children.
