October 17, 2003 -- HER new album, "The Evening of My Best Day," sounds at first like classic Rickie Lee Jones. But beneath the breezy, swinging sound lies political rage that bubbles up in the song "Ugly Man."
The tune is about President Bush, who, she says, "grew up like his father - ugly inside."

"Jones: Unless you're overseas, Americans don't see how they're perceived. They think we just run over people. That's why it's so hard for Americans to understand why everybody over there is mad enough at us that they want to blow themselves up to kill us. That should make us all say, "Wow, I wonder what we're doing to make them feel that way?" I don't think the problem is we have Starbucks and they don't."

Our real problem is that we have Jones....and they don't. How soon can we fix that?

Who is this mindless gutter skank and why should I care what she thinks?

The wealth that they grew up with - not to say this kind of wealth is always evil - but it separates them from the rest of us.I wish I could sit at home for a few years and do nothing but quietly tend to my garden.

Yea, the tears Bush shed days after the 9/11 attack were tears of happy oppurtunism. People are dumb...no other way about it.

This needs to be read with the caveat of RL Jones' own words from her first "hit":
I'm not aware of too many things
I know what I know if you know what I mean.
Yup, it shows.
I despised her first album, and don't indent to buy, or listen to her second one.
Go back to spewing your bilge into your garden.

How absurd.
That should make us say: "Wow, we better beat them to it or we might get blown up, again."

Isn't calling her a "celeb" giving her just a little too much credit?

Jones sings like she is swiming in Valium. I thought she was pretty much washed up by now. Her statements sound like ther were generated out of a lunitic asylum.

Shhhh... the dirty little secret is that Bush has turned the economy around by revitalizing the careers of used up actors and singers.

One of the signatures of the Idiot Savant Celeb is the ability to lap up dogma
that they are told from others. This contention:
I was so apolitical before, but as I watched (President Bush) turn the grief of our nation into a political opportunity, it made me furious.
This phrase has been used time and again by leftist after leftist. It is the telltale sign of the intellectual Bat Boy

There isn't an original political thought in this skank's head. She parrots what she's been told.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
