One could make the argument that this is actually more a case of certain people (such as Eisner and Weinstein) reinforcing this particular negative stereotype, and that Gregg Easterbrook is just calling them on it.

It's a lot more than those too piggies who are making Jews look bad. Weinstein is a maverick and lover of film but he loves degenerate films too much and churns them out. Welcome to the dark side

What do Eisner, et al have to do with Jews and Judaism? These people do not attend synagogue or observe Judaism. They are secular liberals whose ancestors happened to have been Jews. To attack Jews on account of these people is pure racism.

He's kinda right. Jewish people do run HollyWeird and way too much trash is turned out there. It's actually a disgrace how low they'll sink to make a buck out there. Weinstein is a maverick and lover of film but he loves degenerate films too much and churns them out

I have to disagree in a sense dennis. Jewish producers are no different than other producers. They make films to make money. Period.

I am no fan of Weinstein's polictics, but just as he made "Kill Bill", he also made "Shakespeare In Love", a beautiful film.

Dino DeLaurentis has made as many exploitive films as Harvey Weinstein has. It's not a Jewish thing, it's a Hollywood thing.
