As for that as a party idea, just last week was watching that show on TLC where they allow family and friends to in one week with just $5,000 plan a surprise wedding for a bride and groom.
They used vases like that with pholiage and phish and small pebbles as centerpieces for the reception tables.
It tied in with having it at a beach location, and was 'kewl.'
Perhaps your hostess watched it and used the idea!

I see those things everywhere now. We had a large aquarium a few years ago and we put one of those fish in with the others.........not good. He ate them.

"Perhaps your hostess watched it and used the idea! "They certainly could have, I know they put the centerpieces together, didn't purchase them like that. They are the "creative" type :-)
LOL, Nan...I felt sorry for the fish and wanted to get another one to put in the bowl, folks at the pet store gave me the low down......
I have read that PETA does not approve of this arrangement....Peace Lillies with the fish.....but everything seems just fine :-) And I have given Harvey a happy home. PETA gets on my nerves ;-)
Is that Honey Nuts Cheerios, Nan? Thanks for sharing
