Well it seems to me that George W. Greer must be popular in the Tampa Bay area, or Jeb would not be so hesitant to take action. He can intervene on the grounds of fraud in the court decision. He can sort out the niceities later. George W. Greer was elected on the same day that Jeb was. And George W. Bush lost Pinellas Co., whereas Greer won the plebiscite two years earlier. So he is at least as popular as George W. Bush there.

People in FL seem to vote routinely for liberal judges, probably based on name recognition, rather than knowledge of the candidate's judicial philosophy.
