For me, the memories of his inability to eat or even drink are the worst. I hope that they are both up there together having whatever foods and beverages they love. And yes, knowing my father, he is having a wonderful time playing pinochle with your mom. I know this, I certainly look forward to the day I can see daddy again. He was my best friend and I miss him terribly.

I know how you feel. Both of mine were my best friends, and I miss them every day. Mom left us just a year ago, and I'm starting to think I'll never get over it. And yes, I'm hoping my mom is enjoying her nightly glass of chardonney with crushed ice every day now.
