[history]
It is a lonely place to die, out in the soft sandy washes. The desert floor, with its volcanic rock, can reach 160 degrees. Most people go down slowly.
Blood starts to seep into the lungs. Exposed skin burns and the sweat glands shut down. Little hemorrhages, tiny leaks, start in the heart.

Just curious, because I know dozens of immigrants from all over the world, and none have the hatred for those wanting to be in the U.S. that you doJust curious, but how many of those dozens entered illegally?

Most deaths due to non-natural causes are horrible and can be written up in this manner. Do you smell a not-so-hidden agenda?

You're preaching to the choir.

I can't think of any other reason for this whole situation. There are some other reasons. A big one is that both major political parties see them as a potential long-term future special interest voting bloc. The problem is that only the Democrats are correct in this assessment. That's why the Republicans are correctly known as the "stupid party".

2, both have since become American citizens. Both were from Mexico.

Afterall, many of them died trying to find a better life. Our Founding Fathers and American Patriots were willing to die to establish a just government. Why on earth don't the Mexican people who have a very wealthy country, very rich in natural resources overthrow their corrupt leaders and put something like the US Constitution into place? Why is dying for freedom only mean crossing the border to get to the US? Maybe the answer really is that welfare check they seek.

So you thin it's more humane to just shoot these law breakers rather than let em bake in the sun? I agree we should shoot them first, then maybe they wouldn't be so eager to die by baking.

Your life is so bad, that you would risk everything to come to the land of freedom. But they don't have enough patriotism to make Mexico a land of freedom? What possible excuse is there for conditions to change so drastically once you cross the Mexican border?

You think those immigrants would want to shut-down immigration before they get the chance to move their relatives over here?
And so the legality of those immigrants is not the issue.
Legal immigrants are allowed to bring their relatives here.
And so, the illegals suck attitude morphs into a more general anti immigration viewpoint.

Most moved their immediate families over here when they got their visa's. Many were on Student Visa's (particularly those from Africa and the Middle-east), and a few were on sponsored Visa's from extended family. Only 2 were came here illegally, and both were from Mexico. My friend from Haiti told me he would have been here illegally except for the amnesty that was issued a few weeks before the boat he traveled on left, and my Cuban friends (who still have immediate family in Cuba) who are here due to the automatic amnesty they are afforded.
They don't like illegal immigration, but they understand the desire to get to America since they love this country so much. They sure don't want people to die trying to reach our shores, nor would they advocate shooting them as they came across the border.

Punishment doesn't fit the crime. Gotta love all the so-called Christians on this board. Just bursting with Christian compassion! First of all, when did I ever call myself a Christian? Second of all, nobody here has said that they're glad that these people died. These deaths are absolutely tragic, and I don't want anyone to die a horrible death of dehydration. That's a whole lot different than saying that they themselves are to blame. I sincerely hope you can recognize the difference. I absolutely stand by my assertion that if they had more respect for our country and our laws, they'd have come in legally, and most important of all THEY'D STILL BE ALIVE.

We must find a way to both reduce that desire WE??? What about THEM doing something for themselves? The American founders didn't sit and wait for some other people to come and free them. Somethings you must do for yourself, freedom doesn't come handed to you on a silver platter. The problem with this huge and growing immigrant group is they get here and vote for Socialists like Davis and Bustamante, they bring in the same conditions they left.

Horrible corruption and intimidation of "peasants" by generations of Mexican (socialist) governments. We are a rare people, us Americans, in that we did overthrow the shackles of tyranny. Our fighting spirit and belief that we could be free is a rarity in this world throughout history. And that is why we are admired by the downtrodden of the world and the shining City on the Hill that the world's poor long to be near.

Because it's easier to hop across the border, silly. ;-)And hopping across the border, getting on one of those "Freedom Ride" buses, demanding Americans hand you everything does nothing for those left behind in Mexico either. Mexico is getting worse by the day, it's people are deserting it ---- too bad there are no patriot types who would stay and fight for freedom. They want everything to be too easy.
