While I wouldn't necessarily interpret that the sounds she is making are "attempts to speak" (and by that I mean it's debatable), I think it's very clear at the beginning of the video that she responds to her mother and is pleased to see her. That is not the only video that has shown that sort of a response, either.

If she can show that much response without any attempts at proper rehabilitation, and as I have argued previously she does not drool which means she MUST be able to swallow (this is absolutely indisputable, if she were not swallowing she would have to drool, everyone salivates), I do believe it is criminal to continue without at least a chance at real rehab.

To All:

I have suffered from dehydration. It is, literally, the most intense agony I have ever experienced. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I wouldn't wish it on an animal. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy who -was- an animal.

That said, I haven't lost faith in Jeb yet. He's in a hell of a spot. It really -isn't- in his power to check the judiciary in this, it's up to the Florida Legislature. They need to impeach Greer, immediately.

Given that, I do think it's true that there was absolutely nothing Jeb could do until this phase began. Now, I do believe he MAY have some options opened up. I do think he would do something if he reasonably could. Let's see what he does with them.

The people blaming him for this, I think, should save their anger for Greer and Schiavo, and they should also remember that it is OBVIOUS that there are some huge interests fighting to make sure this girl dies. That means anything Jeb does may very well be countered/dismissed, and the fact that it is countered in such a high profile case may be used later in less high-profile, even more questionable cases as precedent to also dismiss anything he does to try and save anyone in the future. Any option he tries -has- to work on the first try, or he'll never be able to attempt it again. That may be why he's being so careful.

My best wishes to Terri, and I hope she survives this ordeal without the agony that comes from serious dehydration.

Thank you Qwinn. Dehydration is indeed a very nasty way to go.

Some of the things that happen to those who suffer from serious dehydration are not pretty to witness either.

The medical Soros-leeches would like us to believe otherwise but they cannot go back and remove the literature about the death of Nancy Cruzan, for instance.

Among other things it is very very uncomfortable to have a heart rate about twice the rate you are used to, and this often happens for days to those on whom we force death by dehydration, as they near death.

Straight from the vigil: Every avenue is being explored by Florida's leaders, legislators and by Terri's team. We even called Ed Gillespie of the RNC who was faxing every Florida Congressman & Senator for us with cell phones at the vigil today.

I was there all day and just got home. Much work is being done. EVERYONE IS BEING REQUESTED TO KEEP CONTACTING GOVERNOR BUSH. HIS NUMBER IS ON VARIOUS THREADS. I don't have it right now. 4:30 a.m. Me
