The Stryker is a boondogle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I work for the U S Army & can tell you that it can't fit into a C-130 transport plane with out stripping off everything on the outside. It takes two to three hours to take them off & then annother 2-3 hours to put everything back on.

The Stryker was to be C-130 transportable (2 per AC) but no one checked the width of the vehicles( they were 3" wider than the specs called for.) and they went over the weight limit for they vehicles as well. That is why they are being sent over to Iraq by ship!

The Army wasted & continnues to waste $$$$$ on the Stryker program when the U S Marine LAV's was already a proven Vehicle System that the Army could have picked up at a discount(since there was no R&D to pay for) and been ready to deploy in half the time it has taken the Stryker to be deployed.

The Army would not choose the Marine LAV's simply because they were developed by the Marines.

As I said the Stryker program is a BOONDOGGLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
