But the politically correct Keystone Kops of the Detroit FBI office are still worrying more about "outreach" than fighting terror.

Don't worry. Expanding the FBI's powers with Patriot Acts I and II will fix all this. More power means more responsible and competent law enforcement.
And if you have an issue with that, it's probably because you are up to no good and SHOULD be under surveillance.

LIFE for Relief and Development This fake-charity hamas front org is around the block from where I live. I have thought many times while walking past, what if I pasted some of those American flag decals on the walls and windows?
But that would be a hate crime.

Interesting.
I have a comment that is a little beside the point, but it made me realize how conservatives and liberals are living in different worlds.
I was having lunch with an old friend in Chicago over the weekend. She mentioned that one of her roommates from college was named Debbie Schlussel and that Debbie "was a lawyer now. I've heard her call in to the Howard Stern show, and Stern seems to have heard of her. She must be doing pretty well at law."
I then explained that Schlussel is a reasonably well-known columnist in conservative circles. My friend, who is not a conservative, had no idea.
