I think the information is being distorted on both sides, but some think he tried to kill her years ago and failed, and the result left her in this state.

I'm tending to lean that way from what I've read. In any case, she is far from the "comatose" and "a vegetable" status the media is portraying her to be.

My spin is that he may have blocked her rehab (if that is possible for her) so she could never reach the state that would enable her to incriminate him, but that's MHO.

I AM RESPONDING: "EXACTLY!!! A (botched) strangulation so he could collect on insurance (which left her mentally disabled) and a determination to avoid therapy or releasing her to her parents, to eliminate the possibility that she could ever incriminate him. Unfortunately for him, he spent all HER therapy money for HIS legal battles. Now, he will just make a MILLION in his BOOK DEAL!!!"
