This whole incident convinces me I should have a "living will" which will basically say keep my alive as long as possible, and whoever doesn't like that, too bad.

If you are afraid of where you are going after you die, then yes you certainly should.

I have a living will ordering no extreme measures, no life support, no resusitation.
I have no reason to fear death.

I don't fear death, but I really don't want to be murdered either. I'd like to leave that timing to God, and not some person, who may or may not have my best interests in mind.

I certainly don't expect to live forever, but I'd like to live as long as God wants, and not as long as my "husband", my "mugger" or my "doctor" find convenient.
