But this lady is incapable of such actions, is she not? I have not followed this much but I thought she was in a coma.
Certainly God puts the instinct to survive in us but these decisions are not being made by her since she is incapable of such.
This is part of a larger question which is "How much effort and expense should be devoted to prolonging lives which without intervention would have ended naturally long before?"
I don't think God put an alternative feeding port in us, did he? Thus, if we are looking at God sanctioned aspects of life once one cannot feed themselves one dies in the God imposed course of life.

Really? What about all the elderly in the Care Facilities that can not feed themselves? Do we just not spoonfeed them? They cannot feed themselves. Should they just starve to death?
God have mercy on us all.

Babies can't feed themselves. Cancer patients can't live without the intervention of doctors via surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. Children with severe retardation can't take care of themselves and would most likely die if left to their own devices.
Is there some moral difference between these people?
I'm finding it funny that certain conservatives (not addressing you specifically here) call themselves pro-life and support giving children with severe disabilities (who might otherwise be aborted) a chance at life, yet once they become infirm want to usher them out as quickly as possible.

What you're saying could be applied to almost any form of medical treatment.
God created cancer. He didn't create the treatments. I had cancer last year. Would the answer have been to just sit back and die, because it's natural??????
