I suppose it has been arranged so that no sympathetic party may document what occurs either.
We have become a culture of death, slaughtering without mercy the most innocent and sentencing the most hekpless to an agonizing death by starvation. And this is supposed to be kind? I hope I am never the recipient of such "kindness." May God have mercy on Terry and her parents.

But Schiavo will not allow her to be fed by spoon, as I understand his orders. Apparently no food/water will be brought to her at all. He actually banned her brother and sister from visiting for 5 months, because they asked a nurse to try giving Terri some pudding with a spoon to see if she could eat.

"I heard some speculation on talke radio that it could be arranged for Terri to get divorced, then she is under the care of her parents. Maybe there is some hope and that is being worked out. " yes but divorced wouldn't the husband would be out the $750 000. Hasn't this allways been about money for him? For HIM.

This is an act of judicially-sanctioned murder.
The Governor should send about 100 state troopers and a team of real doctors, ones who take the oath seriously, to take control of this crime scene.

I was pondering this...
The judgement passed down by the malpractice suit in favour of Terri, which resulted in 3/4-1 million dollars certainly had stipulations??? The intent of the judgement and the award was for her rehabilitation.
Do the laws of the State of Florida allow for criminal prosecution of the husband for using the funds awarded to her for her rehabilitation, instead of going towards attorneys' fees?
Just pondering...

TexasCajun-prehaps you have not been following this for the past 8 weeks? or so that it has been here on FR. So I will try to understand you are speaking from ignorance and not facts. Terri Schiavo is not comatose. She is aware of her surroundings. She has received no rehabilitation even though her "husband" sued on her behalf and received 2 million dollars to be used for her care and rehabilitation. He immediately had her transfered to a hospice from an extended care hospital. A hospice is for terminally ill people. He ordered no rehabilitation and even blocked her sister and brother in law after they attempted to bring food into Terri to attempt to start feeding her by mouth.
He wants her dead and has not been a grieving husband holding his wifes hand for 13 years. He lives with another woman whom he introduces as his fiancee. They have one child and another on the way. He has said he will marry this woman once Terri is dead. Her parents have offered to relinquish all monies coming to Terri if he will just allow them to assume her care. He denied this and in fact has denied them assess to her unless he or another appointed person is present, I don't imagine they will get very many visits with her.
Also just telling your wife not to prolong your life if you should become comatose is not enough, you should have a living will.

I'm thinking that we must be praying for a miracle!
So much mis-information!! She has never been allowed the therapy to help her to be able to swallow = she is not on life support. It is a feeding tube.
Where are the great feminists??!! Letting a MAN make this decision about HER BODY!!
Why on earth couldn't there be a grace period of 30 days or so to allow her family to try therapy so that she would at least have a fighting chance when the tube was removed. What could that hurt after all these years??
Who on earth are these judges that can't see at least this little bit of Grace for Terri??!

THANKS for the link!!
Now, maybe some of the uninformed on this thread will be brought up to speed on this atrocity.

I may have missed it but how can I contact Greer?

Thanks for providing a web address. I'm convinced the media are lying when they say she is comatose. This is not comatose.

Yes, that's what I thought. Just heard that somewhere, the 3 minute rule -- 3 minutes without air, 3 days without water, 3 weeks without food.

He couldn't divorce her because then he wouldn't get her money. The only way to get her money is to kill her.

I hope that the main members of this perverted murder of this helpless women never again have a peaceful dream, thought or moment.
Justice would be for them to sit and watch her until the Lord welcome her home to everlasting peace and joy.
This is such a sad case.
Even a dog should not be allowed to sufffer through this type of perverted death.

IIRC, the expert witnesses testified that mouth-feeding Terry will lead to her either choking to death or developing a fatal infection in her respiratory tracts Hmm, just wondering if those experts are on the husband's side, or on her parents side...

Why are we being told that Terri can live for up to two weeks. It simply is not true.
It is true that you can live without food for maybe two to three weeks but you can live without water for not much beyond three days.
With the g-tube gone she will get neither. She will get no IV drip for hydration because that would prolong her life. The most she will get, maybe, is a moist cotton swab applied to her parched lips
Schiavo may not even allow taht unless the swab be moistened with vinegar.
This is why the Bush action is merely cruel and cynical political posturing, knowing full well that time is up but the stupid sheeple will say he did all he could.
He won't really alienate the other side because nothing will come of his self-serving ploy.
In a few short days< barring heroric intervention of some kind< Schiavo will burn Terri's dehydrated corpse like the garbage he believes she is. And this will be old news.
"Pray, you'll need it. Your cause has been defeated."
We truly deserve their mockery. In fact our inaction makes us Lebens unwertes leben.
We are powerless. We sit back and watch a state sanctioned murder.
