If my daughter (or other relative or friend) was about to be murdered, I wouldn't be worrying about what is legal and what is not.

Ditto. No one, no law, no cop, no judge, no government, no hospital, no husband, no one would keep me from doing everything in my physical power to keep my daughter alive. The legal consequences of my actions be damned.

I'm with you. If I were in the same situation,I’d simply ventilate the sonofabitch that was threatening to kill my daughter, then I’d turn myself in and plead guilty. Custody would devolve upon my wife, and the two of them could live comfortably on the benefits from my life insurance policy after my execution.

This is not a call to action along the lines of those taken by abortion-clinic bombers. Those ”heroes” refused to step up to the bar of justice and allow the righteousness of their actions to be judged according to the due process of law; instead, they chose to hide out in the woods like the cowards they are. It is true that when the State will not provide justice, it regretfully sometimes falls to individuals to enforce the natural law — and to accept whatever consequences stem from that enforcement.

God help this poor woman, her family, and our country. This is a dark day.
