Two military jets crashed in the Atlantic off Beaufort, S.C., Wednesday. The pilots were rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard and brought safely back to land, authorities said.

The Coast Guard began searching after getting reports from vessels that saw flares about 8:40 a.m., said Lt. j.g. Will Whitehead of the Charleston Coast Guard Base.

He said the F-18 fighters were based at the Beaufort Marine Corps Air Station

Probably was able to traingulate by getting the bearings of the flares.

Two at one time. They must have bumped in formation. Thankful, they got out.

Yes, but the demo's claim Bush was a coward, "skated" his duty, and "avoided the draft" by flying high-performance fighter jets.

These things aren't dangerous to fly.............

Right? /sarcasm.

Having served in the MCAS Beaufort search and rescue unit, I wonder why they didn't make the pickup.
