Soldiers kill seven Taliban
AFGHAN soldiers backed by US troops and helicopters have killed seven Taliban and captured 12 others in a sweeping raid in a remote region of southern Afghanistan.
Three Afghan soldiers also died and five others were wounded in the two days of fighting in Chaar Cheno district’s rugged mountainous terrain, about 90 miles northeast of Kandahar.
It was not immediately clear if there were any important Taliban commanders among the dead or captured rebels.
