To: Long Cut
That was the best duty I ever had. No one knew who we were or what we did. They treated us like kings. We finished work every day by three and could get in at least 27 holes of golf every day. It was only $40 for a monthly membership at the base golf course. What a life. We had it made.

I have an uncle from Bath so this old Alabama country boy even got home cooking while there. I never did master the cold though, even after spending many years in it I'd still rather have the heat and humidity of south Alabama.

Amen. The cold and snow up there, and the salt they use for the roads, cost me the paint job on my Mustang during my last tour. I much prefer the environment around Jacksonville NAS in Florida, and that's why Mrs. Cut and I maintain our home there.

I'm just hoping I can preserve my current car...a 2001 Camaro SS (see my homepage).
