"As I told Rush in an email I sent him: "After you kick the demons of addiction, I know you will return to the golden microphone of EBI, better then ever. Once again, broadcast excellence will reign for 3 hours every weekday. Take care Rush, best of luck and may God bless you."Well said, amigo.

Come on Rush, we're pulling for you.Bump
To: Alamo-Girl
Thanks, and hugs, my friend.

Thanks for the ping, John.
I have had Rush in my prayers for a long time. I do not believe he will give up his show--he's said many times that he won't retire until every liberal in the country has been converted--LOL!That means that there's many more years for him to keep at it.
I'm hopeful that since Rush was able to kick smoking almost over night, and that he did the same with hard alcohol, that he will be able to rid himself of this demon easier than most. That is my fervent prayer.

Imus is a hypocrite. I e-mailed him this morning at WFAN under "complaints". People despise those who are on top. It is unlikely to change any time soon.
The Left is full of hypocricy - if they do not live in tents and ride bicycles, then they are environmental hypocrites; if they voice support for bloated government programs while cheating on their taxes (waitresses, self-employed, etc.), they are hypocrites.
The Left espouses its own brand of morality (the poor, homeless, minorities, etc.) while violating the basic tenets of their causes. They believe themselves to be on the moral high ground, so who is actually the "moralizing motormouth", hmmm?
Was the sub Tammy Bruce?

But at the same time, if there's one hint of evidence he illegally received narcotics I want him indicted and tried. If you change "indicted and tried" to "treated the same way as an average citizen does when he is accused of illegally receiving prescription drugs that he became addicted to as a result of a medical need", I'll agree with you.
One thing that's good about our justice system is its discretion. (It can also be what's bad about our justice system when that discretion is abused, of course.) My brother is a pretty tough prosecutor in Houston. He has no trouble locking up someone when that's necessary. But he also knows when to plea bargain, when to work with the defendant, when to allow for deferred adjudication, and so forth, and I respect that. And it's at the prosecutor's desk where it's important to weigh the circumstances of a crime, the likelihood of repeat offense, the danger to society, and so forth.
I expect the local authorities to give Rush the same consideration as they would to any other repentant addict. If he gets off easy, I don't want it to be because of his celebrity or his money. The same goes if he has the book thrown at him.

dittosrush@rushlimbaugh.com. ...I just tried to send an email to that address and my email provider says there is a syntax error in the address.
...I think that may be a new tax the democrats are trying to impose on us!
