Aren't we taking this article too seriously? I thought it was a clever satire of Rush Limbaugh. Not even that mean-spirited. That's true, but the Rush devotees still can't take it.
Trying to make them face the truth just enrages them all the more.
They know perfectly well that Rush would have savagely and sarcastically attacked any major Clinton player with a drug problem.

A lot of people are making Rush out to be some sort of Conservative demigod. Well, let's be realistic here. Rush said on a number of occassions, he is an entertainer.
His business is satisfying an audience. He sells advertising. And as this business proves, he is by no means perfect.
If there is a lesson here to be learned for all conservatives it is not to deify or sanctify anyone. That obviously means Rush, but also means our current President or any other "shining light" of Conservative glory.
We are all human and humans make mistakes.
