If you like plants you would love
Calloway Gardens. They have a Butterfly and Horticulture Center and the most beautiful growth of azaleas anywhere in the State.

.the love with which you labor is quite apparent...thank you....) You're welcome JW! I'm glad it's apparent because I did labor over it. Just ask Billie and Mama Bear...they helped me make it a reality!

Hi again Aqua. Gosh I stopped in and got here right away. Maybe the slow server problem has been fixed.
Gosh...I forgot all about Savanah. We spent about 5 days there a few years ago when Mr. D. had a conference. I just LOVED it. While he was in session all day I wandered the town feeling very safe. Loved the parks on every block, the beautiful old homes and the riverwalk area. Also, everyone was so friendly and wonderful food! Would love to go back there!

Oh, and I'm so sorry FR is so slow on a day where you've done such a great job with this state. I promise, LOL, to reread the thread again several times to make up for the general inaccessibility to FR for so many people today. I think lots of people have just given up. But it's getting better, no? Things seem to be moving.

Hi Aqua! I tried and tried to get in earlier but my connection kept timing out. Seems to be working better now.
I know how you stressed over this, but you have done a such a good job presenting your state. I told you it would be beautiful, and it is! Makes me want to come for a visit. :-)
Very nice pledge graphic too!
HUGS!
Wishing you all a lovely day.

I'm glad you get to see it. It's been a long time since I've visited Savannah. We stayed at the beach and didn't even take the historic tour of the town.

Are we back? :) Hello, Sistahs, hope the rest of the day goes swimmingly for you all. Great to hear from each and every one, and so early in the day. Maybe we should have tea? :)

Thanks Free! Can you believe The Thin Man didn't know the correct spelling for Chattahochee? He had to ask me!

Georgia is sitting on the front porch swing, listening to the children giggle on an early autumn evening as they chase lightening bugs underneath the pecan trees.

Very cool... I'll try to come back & chime in later- not only is FR slow, my DSL line has been doing weird things all day. BellSouth swears "we're working on it..."

Think we're back in business, Billie!
Tea time sounds good about now. :)

Georgia is muggy summer days, soaking in the haze and humidity, complaining about the heat, while remembering to thank the Lord that you don't need to own a snow shovel.

What a gorgeous picture! When you come to Georgia one day be sure to go see Stone Mountain. I used to live in that area and spent many pleasant days at the Park there. I put a link about Stone Mtn. in the opening post but here's another good link that tells about all the
Attractions there. At night they have a neat lazer show on the carving side of the mountain.
