Oy oy oy. Such clever words all in the service of legalizing known poisons such as heroin, cocaine and crack. Poisons that intelligent cultures reject, condemn and make illegal. There is no long, ingrained history of using such poisons in Western civilization. Such poisonous crud is native to the 3rd world; is cultivated and processed there. There is a long honorable history of alcohol use in our Western society back to the Bible and beyond. And a history of tobacco and coffee use. There is no long history of marijuana, heroin, cocaine, opium use.
United States legalizing drugs? This is a chapter from the libertarian book of loserology. On how to make your nation a loser nation. You need a check up from the neck up bubala!

Your entire response is pure nonsense, but I'll take issue with a couple of your points. You consider our History w/alcohol as "Honorable"? You think "Western Civilization" dates back to the Bible and beyond? No "long history" of use of MJ/Heroin/cocaine in our Society? I purposely left off opium, I'll leave it to you to figure out why. No long ingrained "history" of using such "poisons" in Western Civilization? What planet did you just arrive from? Who needs a "checkup from the neckup" babalu? You can't reason any better than this and don't do drug's? Come on, you're just screwing around with us, right? Blackbird.

There is a long honorable history of alcohol use in our Western society back to the Bible and beyond. There was a time when it could have been argued that "There is a long honorable history of slavery in our Western society back to the Bible and beyond." Was that a good reason to not end slavery? The bottom line is that if marijuana is harmful enough to ban, then alcohol is doubly so. But Prohibition failed and the War On Some Drugs is failing; we were wise to end the former and would be wise to end the latter.

Heroin and cocaine (crack being a form of cocaine) are useful drugs. Useful in proper use. Misused they are dangerous. Poison. I agree that crack is extreemly dangerous. So is strychnine, for that matter.
Yet, they all should be available for responsible adults to own and use. A 12 gauge riot gun is deadly. Designed to be deadly, death and injury ARE its usage. Do you ask to ban 12 guages? Or pistols?
Cars kill. We should all use trains and buses driven by state-workers, eh?
