Moore held Limbaugh to his own medicine (Jabba The Shmuck On Hate Limbaugh Rampage)

In the ongoing grudge match between liberal and conservative icons, there is little room for sympathy. On Saturday, award-winning film director and progressive liberal Michael Moore gave a sold-out speech at the Universitys Sports Pavilion. Interestingly, amid sympathizing with University strikers and the many victims of President George W. Bushs doctrine, Moore showed little sympathy for diametrically opposed Rush Limbaugh and his admitted drug problem. In the press conference held before his speech, Moore addressed a question about Limbaughs admitted addiction by saying Limbaugh was an ugly, mean-spirited bastard who was the leading hate speech advocate of the past decade. ... Hes an absolute hypocrite who was one of the leading generals to lock thousands of Americans up simply because theyre addicted to drugs. Later, during his speech, Moore said the United States should take care of Limbaugh by stuffing him in a cell and stuffing drugs down his throat.
Although Moores comments during his speech bordered on tirade, his calling Limbaugh a hypocrite is right on; Limbaugh has been a leading proponent of harsh drug laws, a postion with which we disagree.
Costly prisons are overflowing with drug addicts while cost-effective treatment programs are underutilized, causing families to split up and careers to be lost. Effective drug treatment, rather than exile from society, should be the answer. The war on drugs is actually a war on those addicted to drugs. Of course, this does not apply if one happens to be privileged enough to skirt around prison sentences. Wealthy Limbaugh will obtain treatment while the not-so-fortunate others will spend their time in and out of prison.
The negative economic and social effects of the nations misguided and extremely flawed drug laws are enormous. Leaders should step up and demand revision of drug laws. Moore has already shouted his response, but Limbaugh has remained eerily quiet on drug law reformation.

I'm a recovering addict, 14 years. I interact with people, just drug users, new to recover and having run ins with the law over drugs. Users are steered to treatment and us addicts willing to share our experience, strength and hope by the courts. If it's the first or 2nd or even 3rd time, they seldom spend more than a night or two in the klink. They may be sent to treatment instead of a jail sentence. Moore is the enemy, he was hoping for disaster in Iraq, Americans to die just so it would be bad for Bush. Is this NOT the enemy?

Rush can prove his parentage beyond a shadow of doubt! Another liberal lie!
To: PJ-Comix
I don't know if Rush was as anti-drug as they make out. He opposed hard drugs and dealers, and he believed in jail sentences that were tough.
He didn't like pot, but he was more lenient. It would be interesting to see how he treated anyone who abused prescription drugs.....is there any story of such abuse by a celeb in the last 4 or 5 years wherein Rush commented?

My mom is an recovering alcoholic- and went through her own hell to get sober- and stay that way. The thing is- anything- when taken to extremes, can become an addiction. Heck, I've known one or two people who were addicted to CHURCH!
Moore is a fat, disgusting, nasty, gross excuse for a human being.
Anyone else hear Glenn Beck's 2 hour rant on Moore's latest propaganda piece? (aka a book.) Classic.

Moore sure wears his all consuming hatred on his sleeve, doesn't he?
I doubt there's a bigger hypocrite in the entire world.
His end will be very ugly.

Let us assume for one silly, giddy moment that Moore is correct, (I almost said right, but caught myself in time) and then try to explain why republicans hold the White House, the Senate, The House of Representatives, New York and California Governorships, Florida too, all of the chairmanships in congress, a majority of state legislatures and a so called grab ass governor elect in Caleefornia, a dumbass president and a radio icon on rehab.
Sounds like we have won, and that fat, no class, almost human detritus is left (now I have it right) to rip off a few thousand people dumber than he is in order to maintain his millionaire status.
Is this a great country, or what?

...Limbaugh was an ugly, mean-spirited bastard......It takes one to know one.....and I suspect Moore knows what a ugly, mean-spirited bastard really looks like since he sees one in the mirror daily.

I think that drug abuse is a dumb wasteful law enforcement priority, but I'd like to see proof of how how "cost-effective treatment programs" actually are, and evidence that they actually work.
