"As for structures underwater, we should not rush to judgement that they are manmade. Plenty of natural petromorphs appear anthropogenic, but are not (for example, basalt crystals that are perfectly hexagonal in cross-section). These may be no more than granitic dikes or sills that cooled slowly, and produced macrocrystalline structures. "

Dr Robert Schoch (PhD Geology/Geophysics), in his recent book, Voyages Of The Pyramid Builders says, that from all he's seen, they're natural structures. I have to 'go with' his disposition and assume he has seen at least as much data as we have and probably more. There is a (spanish name) geogolist working with the group who says that they are not natural.

The question posed to me 2-3 years ago was, if they are manmade how did they get there? Hence, my theory. (Inspired by Ryan and Pittman's work in the Black Sea)

I just want to make sure you guys are talking about the same thing. I think Renfield is talking about the so-called Bimini Road. Renfield, did you follow Blam's link in post #52? Blam's talking about a newly identified structure being explored near Cuba that some have called an "underwater city."

I am personally skeptical of both as human constructs but will keep an open mind. The arguments I've heard about the Bimini structures as natural seem persuasive to me. I've been to the Devil's Postpile and other displays of columnar basalt and know a bit about geology and crystallography. Nature does good work. As for the Cuban "city," I put it in the same category as UFOs. I've been waiting for real UFO confirmation since I saw a green fireball over northern New Mexico in the 1950s. UFOs and "Atlantis" are fun to speculate about but there's absolutely no credible (to me) proof.
