The case of the Nigerian woman stands not alone. Another woman was convited for a simular case a year before the latest case.
Only in Pakistan woman are worse off. Sometimes men cut off noses or ears from their wive(s). Or remove their eyes so they won't look at another man. Or kill them for looking at another man.
Woman who are raped and report it to the police are raped again at the police station by the police. Islam is not entirely to blame, but after hundered of years being an islamic nation, these people should know better. That is, if we believe the apologists who claim in islam men and women are equal.

Royal Dutch Shell forever has issues in Nigeria. I have family married to RDS line workers and the worst assignments are usually the ones in the muslim run countries.
Women have no freedom in these countries at all. I am amazed at the stories that come out of England and other civilized counties. To me, I'd shrug off every last negative aspect of the place I left. I don't get it. If these people love their sexist oppression so much, why did they leave in the first place?
