Evan Thomas writes this in a current Newsweek article: "The man behind the curtain is not the God of Family Values but a childless, twice-divorced, thrice-married schlub whose idea of a good time is to lie on his couch and watch football endlessly. Nice."A vicious hit-piece. But Rush will have the last laugh, as he always does. :)

Evan Thomas is a humorless hack who has DEAD EYES.

Interesting, really. I don't recall ever seeing any slam-piece regarding Al Franken and his wife's battles with alcoholism, originating from conservative attacks. I can only speculate that conservatives, on policy, find it unproductive and cowardly to resort to personal attacks and slams of that nature.
I also recall vividly the evening that Clinton's mother passed away, and how Rush -- on tv broad cast -- publicly extended his condolences to the Clinton family, saying that his firmly-entrenched political views would never prevent him from sympathizing with others in pain.
Libs could take a lesson or two from this guy. But I won't hold my breath.

These low life underestimate Rush the same way they underestimate Bush. Yes, Rush will have the last laugh and so will all of us. Rush is a strong, determined and intelligent personality and he WILL be back with a vengence and we'll all be there waiting for him. He will turn this whole episode into a positive.

(I trust Rush...he will prevail in spite of the naysayers)
