#13...IMO, her parents are in such a distraught state right now, and who can blame them....

...so they are seeking any measure to stay this execution.

...But Randall Terry is not their great hope, and I don't think they know this.

I feel he will do more harm than good...
...even in the Christian circles now, he has considerable baggage...

...there was a time, years ago, when he was an articulate and passionate spokesman for the Pro-life cause.

People change.
Randall Terry has changed.

Even though I think thousands should..hold vigil with these parents the next 3 days.....

..I sadly think the emphasis will be directed solely at Terry....that he will grab the spotlight and it will become about him.

I have lost confidence that he can effect any change.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

Maybe, but that depends on how Randall Terry handles it. The better question is why the Schindlers feel they need the help of a Protestant preacher when they are Catholic. Answer: The local bishops are being cowardly weenies not worthy of their office. They should be leading the vigils.

Post # 17 - Randall Terry may be the wrong person to call for help.

Post # 7 & others = NOT Voting for Jeb Bush (& George W.) if they do not step in and save her!

Gov. Jeb Bush, and Pres. George W. Bush - . Who will be her advocate??
. Terri has the right to rehabilitation - not starvation.     - #24 & 38

What to do...??

...Let's see, - ...history... 1950's... fed marshals escort children to school...education for everyone...
this is now...murder in the making... what to do..?

The Number One issue for Democrats, and everyone: The Right to Life in an era of 'choice'.
On this issue, the Democrats have it wrong. On this issue, the Republicans have it right, - on paper. But, having it right on paper, - will that be enough to save Terri's life?

... for we cannot allow the slaughter of the most fragile. For those who can act, and should act, to halt this murder, I pray that they be empowered, by Your Holy Spirit, to do so. Open up hearts and minds to the insanity we see ... and may the outcry reach across this nation...   - #35

Everything I have read makes me conclude the husband is determined that Terri NEVER have a chance to tell what happened 13 years ago. I think this MURDER is just taking longer than usual to commit.   - #42

#40 - Answer: The local bishops are being cowardly weenies not worthy of their office.
I've got this idea, that when right to life vs. death was heating up in the 60's & 70's, it was the Catholics who were (among) the first leaders for life. Are bishops shaken by the scandals, & lying low? Or, is it the new generation / 'new school' - they see things differently?

If John Paul can intervene in a couple of Missouri death-penalty cases, he should be able to find the time to say something about Terri, IF someone brings it to his attention.   - #44

-From one subject to another, but they are on the same thread, so here goes:
About a month ago, there was an FR Thread ... Randall Terry was under attack by the ?fem/pro-aborts; and Alan Keyes was coming to his defense and raising funds. (I believe the thread was deleted, because it was soliciting funds.) And now here we go again, turning our attention to Randall Terry. In 2003, does he deserve our attention and support; and do we need his help?

I happen to think that the OR / pro life community deserves some explaination about the divorce & remarriage of Randall Terry. Who left who, who divorced who - and why?

#22 - Am I being encouraged to visit randallterrylive.org? The scant mention I've read is that Randall left and divorced his wife, and married the younger woman / assistant. If he is at fault, then it looks more like randall-adultery.org, and I'm not interested.
And, - Randall Terry Jive returns to the airwaves on ... - Sorry, not interested. fool me once...   The glory of Randall Terry in the 1980's & 90's may well be something of the past.   (& while were at it, has anyone called sandi patty to sing the national anthem) It may be their business if they want their divorce & new 'blended' families; - but should they be right back in the saddle & on the Christian center stage? In this case, Randall is responding to a invitation, in a desperate situation. But he is returning to talk radio...??

They don't need Terry to save Terri.   Find someone else!

From Post #17 - ...But Randall Terry is not their great hope, and I don't think they know this. I feel he will do more harm than good... ...even in the Christian circles now, he has considerable baggage... ...there was a time, years ago, when he was an articulate and passionate spokesman for the Pro-life cause. People change. Randall Terry has changed. - (For the Worse....??)

uh-bore-shun & murder/euthanasia - the scourge
divorce - another scourge
