"Randall Terry is the founder of Operation Rescue,
the largest civil disobedience movement in American history (the Civil-Rights
Movement recorded 7,000 arrests, Operation Rescue's peaceful sit-ins resulted in
over 70,000 arrests). Randall has been arrested over forty times for peaceful
protests. He has spent more than one year in various prisons and jails around the country.
As a powerful and eloquent spokesman for the pro-life movement and other conservative issues, Randall has
appeared on 60 Minutes, Nightline, Oprah, Donahue, Hannity and Colmes, Crossfire, Meet The Press,
all major network news broadcasts, and scores of TV shows in America and around the world. The New
York Times called him an "Icon." He has been personally caricaturized in primetime television,
and demonized by Cher, Whoopi Goldberg, Robert Redford, Barbara Streisand and the like."

My prayers go out to this family. It truly makes me sick. I get tears in my eyes everytime I think of this mother and father having to watch their daughter die. I'll pray for a miracle! This country is going downhill fast!

People,
I'm an RN. I've seen recoveries, births, deaths, pain, suffering, joy and tears. But I have NEVER seen anything like this before. Murder defended. Murder being defended. Scarey. Horrid. Who's next? Me? You? I haven't read one single article here today on FR more important in my opinion, than this one. Who will be her advocate???????

Gov. Bush has to take a stand and prevent this murder or find himself without the support of people throught the USA.
We need to start vigils in other parts of the country, also.
We need more media attention!

You're right. I just googled the governor's office for Florida, found many phone numbers, and called the offices that might be affected by the case, e.g., legal affairs. I called three of them, told them I was from Massachusetts, and had been following the events. It sounded like they had been getting a lot of calls.

The fact that Jeb Bush is considering his political options in this tragedy makes me sick to the core. I thought that Bush was supposed to have core values such as the "right to life." Why is he unwilling thus far to help Terri beyond that nice brief that the federal judge likely did not even read? Well if that judge read the brief, it had no impact on him.

CBN just reported the removal of the tube. My son watchers the Trinity Broad. Station now adays so I pick stuff up.
Pat Robertson put his two cents in and says what a mess give the girl the therapy and give her a chance.
He also said it is a big difference between her case and someone who is on life support for years who would otherwise be dead say from a terminal illness.
Those that post that they do not see Teri's life as worth living should be clear to put that in writing for themselves and relize that a lot of people are content with their lives no matter what physical disablities they have.
King Vanity loves life. Sure he is not happy about missing out on what could have been but the possiblity of what everyday does bring is exciting enough.
King Vanity is way more medically involved than Terri but he leads an active life despite all the aparatus.
It takes about two hrs. to get him up and ready every day and an hour to break everything back down.
We make up for all the work when up out of the house maiking all those hrs. worth all the work.
When he was young (up to the age of 16) and I could pack him around without a lift we traveled and he graduated from high school (attended K-12).
He has many interests and finds activities that thrill and excite him.
Not everyone thrives on airplane jumps as to what brings them yahoos as one poster wrote about himself.
What I have found when we meet new people is either they get it or they don't.
We surround our selves with those who get it. We have found it draining and a waste of time trying to educate those who don't get it they never will. That was said for those of you who do get it and through frustration have been trying to educate those who do not get it on this forum. Stick with those who do so we can keep our energy focased on advocating for Terri.

I must ask what is the vehicle Jeb should use? What limits the isuance of stays and reprieves to death row inmates?

Heavenly Father, may each of our voices be lifted up with those at the Florida vigil ... we pray that You will intervene and save Terri from death by starvation. Bring more voices and more prayers to the fight, Father, for we cannot allow the slaughter of the most fragile. For those who can act, and should act, to halt this murder, I pray that they be empowered, by Your Holy Spirit, to do so. Open up hearts and minds to the insanity we see ... and may the outcry reach across this nation. Lord, in Your mercy, please spare Terri and give her back to her parents ... we don't know how, but with You, all things are possible. May it be so, Lord, in the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...

CBN just reported the removal of the tube.I thought the family had until Wednesday for appeals. Why the early start when the court had given the family another 48 hours to sucessfully appeal?

http://www.cogforlife.org I just returned from the beginning of a 24 hour a day vigil that started today at noon and will continue until either Jeb Bush, Governor of Florida intervenes or Terri Schiavo dies. Most of you are aware that Terri is the young woman in Florida whose husband wants her feeding tube removed, while her parents are asking the judge to allow them to care for her. Terri is not in a coma. She has no other means of life support other than her feeding tube. She laughs, she cries, she says yes and no - she even attempted to stand from a chair just weeks ago. When the feeding tube is removed, she will slowly starve to death. We are asking for the following action:
1) For all people nationwide
Please call Governor Bush 1-850-488-4441 who recently filed an Amicus Brief with the courts and is sympathetic to Terri's cause, asking him to directly intervene. He has the full authority to request that the Department of Children and Families conduct a full investigation into whether she is receiving adequate care and rehabilitation, which of course she is not. Based on that, DCF could remove her husband as legal guardian and request .a guardian et litem to be appointed. Please FLOOD his office with calls!
2) For those in Florida
Please join us at the Hospice Woodside Care Center for our vigil, located at 6774 102nd Ave North, Pinellas Park. For driving directions, click here:
http://www.mapquest.com We are also asking clergy to be present Wed. Oct 15th at 2:PM when the tube will be removed.
3) For those in Northern Florida, Georgia - or anyone who can attend a second vigil outside the Governor's Mansion in Tallahassee, please email Randall Terry, from Operation Rescue who is organizing this event. He can be reached at
RandallTerry@aol.com And most of all, please, please pray for Terri's right to live! Judge Greer has violated Florida law and her constitutional right by not allowing anyone to feed her by hand. Terri has the right to rehabilitation - not starvation.
God bless,

..I sadly think the emphasis will be directed solely at Terry....that he will grab the spotlight and it will become about him. Maybe, but that depends on how Randall Terry handles it. The better question is why the Schindlers feel they need the help of a Protestant preacher when they are Catholic. Answer: The local bishops are being cowardly weenies not worthy of their office. They should be leading the vigils.
