Except that Giuliani has his eyes on a bigger prize in 2008.

I really don't think Giuliani has a snowball's chance in hell of winning the Republican presidential nomination in 2008. I do think, however that he would be much better than either Schumer or Clinton representing New York in the Senate.

I was skeptical, too, until Paul Weyrich said that enough social conservatives would allow Giuliani--and only Giuliani--the nomination while holding pro-choice views.

I agree, Rudy Giluiani has no chance of the '08 nod, Jeb will get the nod in '08. Bloomberg should run against Schummer and Pataki should go for Clinton's seat in 06. Clinton will be easier to beat because Republicans all over the nation will finance her GOP opponent being that she is a potential 08 Presidential candidate. Pataki can finish his term as Governor and run for Senator in 06 as a 3 term Governor, a Republican who won 3 times in NY, he would be a very good candidate.
