On May 20th, there will be a special election. The Republican is Mickey Mortimer. He is a solid conservative and deserves our support. He was a state rep for 4 years out of Jackson County before stepping down to run for state senate against liberal democrat Mark Schauer. Unfortunatly, he didn't win. I met him a few times and he seems like a straight shooter to me and I'd have no problem voting for him.
Kent Kratz is a DEMOCRAT. His dad was a republican who passed away that opened this election up. Kent is a public school teacher and that's all I know about him. He doesn't have a website out.
Only 5.7% turned out in the primary. That means this race is up for grabs.
I just hope the voters realize that sonny is NOT daddy in the special.
