Very nice! I think the Maryland GOP really has a chance to become competitive with Ehrlich and Steele in charge. They seem very committed to building the party.

Any word on a legitimate challenger to Sen. Mikulski (you know, hold her to 60 percent)? She'll be 68 for the 2004 election, so that might be her last term. Looking way ahead, Bob Ehrlich serves two terms as governor and is looking for work in 2010, when Mikulski's seat comes open, theoretically.

The margin of victory of LeRoy Myers over Casper Taylor was actually 76 votes. This is my backyard, four miles down the road into Maryland.

I certainly, however, agree with the point of your post. Maryland voters put some fine people into office. Even now I am still thrilled that Ehrlich won over Townsend.
