Dear Shallenburger Supporter,

The election is only 4 days away! The latest polls have us within striking distance of our opponent. This weekend, we have a great opportunity make a real difference in the election. Please take a few minutes to call your friends and remind them to vote for Tim Shallenburger on November 5th, talk with your neighbors, put out a couple of extra yard signs, go door-to-door and pass out some literature. (You can information off of our website www.timshallenburger.com), and make some get-out-the-vote phone calls to your church list, rotary club, bridge club, or other organizations that you belong to.

This is a sample script for get-out-the-vote phone calls:

Instructions: Thank you for your time. This is a valuable campaign tool. Please speak slowly and clearly. It is important to be pleasant even if the caller disagrees with you.

Hello, my name is (your name ), and I'm calling because I support Tim Shallenburger for Governor. Tim is the Republican candidate and the only one who has pledged not to raise your taxes. Once elected, education will be Tim’s top priority. Tim is the candidate in this race who has consistently stood for tougher penalties for criminals and has supported victims of violent crimes.

In contrast, Tim’s opponent has refused to sign a “No New Taxes Pledge.” Additionally, she has voted against local control of education and supports school consolidation. She has a soft on crime record and voted against registering first time child molesters.

I hope that you will join me in voting for Tim Shallenburger for Governor on Tuesday, November 5th.
