You're right, axel f. I've confirmed exactly that. Thanks!

Thank goodness you got the right information and are acting on it. Vote for O'Hara. Annabeth Surbaugh is a Steve Rose clone. (I'm sorry I haven't been on line to answer questions. Free State One and Two come first.) fsf

I'm beginning to realize the only people who hate conservative Repubicans more than Democrats are the RINOs.

If you are only 25 years old, and you have figured this out about Kansas politics, you are very, very wise for your age. Some Kansas politicians should have you on staff! :o) fsf

Thank you, but wise doesn't describe me. Cynical, maybe. Wise, no.

Someday you'll have to tell me how you can put spaces in your posts when you insert html codes. How I envy you.

I understand soooo little about HTML codes, it isn't funny. But everything I learned, I learned from the HTML sandbox threads on FR. They have kind of disappeared (I don't know why) but I found this link. I hope it helps. mash here (Boy, I hope that worked!) fsf

Well, it didn't work. But do a search and type in "HTML" or "sandbox" or "boot camp" or any number of combinations and you will finally find the thread. It's a great education. (You can tell by how much I learned! /sarcasm!) fsf

To create a paragraph break, type <P>

You can take a look at michigander's profile page for some basic HTML codes.

Hey Kansas Freepers...not many of you have posted on the "Check in after voting" thread. It has nearly 1100 posts on it now. How have your voting experiences been today? We voted this morning in Butler Co. and were voters 205, 206 & 207 which is a pretty heavy turnout for our township at that time of morning! We were at a pre-election Tiahrt rally last night where there was LOTS of energy and great expectations:^)

Polls see moderate turnout, few glitches

Voting in Sedgwick County is proceeding smoothly after minor morning glitches, said Sedgwick County Election Commissioner Marilyn Chapman.

One precinct didn't open at 6 a.m., and at least two others were using paper ballots in morning voting, Chapman said.

That isn't unusual, she said -- machines occasionally break down, and paper ballots are used until technicians repair them.

"It happened in the August primaries too," she said.

Chapman said she expected turnout to approach 55 percent of registered voters. That's about 20 percent less than in a presidential election year, but typical for an off-year election, she said.

Polls in Sedgwick County close at 7 p.m.

Hi, I voted in SE Kansas first thing this morning. Election workers commented on early morning voting being unusually high. I'm in Republican territory. :-)
