Just heard on Brit Hume that the GOP tracking polls now show it dead even in MN between Coleman and Mondale. And Mondale just apologized for the spectacle of a "memorial" service. He would NOT have done that unless his polls showed the same trend.
And I read today in, I think, the Wash Times that Coleman's camp and/or the state GOP took in about $150K in grass roots donations in the few hours following the spectacle. The Dems really screwed up here. [grin]

Cool. Also, Mondale getting Welstone fvotes can't be taken as a given. Wellstone was a hard lefty and many of his fans were probably as disgusted as us with the farce of a "memorial". Also, the absentee ruling where all Rats are facing a do over is not going to help them. Meanwhile, the GOPers are fired up, p*ssed and working their butts off. I live in California and got a call from the MN GOP for $$ to help with poll watching in MN. The Rats overplayed their hand and it is wonderful to see. Go Coleman Go....
