I just took a look at the headline vs. what was actually said, and it sounded far less cocky than the headline. He's playing up the fact that a large number of voters will provide him with an "easy win" based on Fernald's income tax stand. I wouldn't be claiming a 65-70% win, though. IIRC, isn't Fernald an ex-GOP legislator ? That means a lot of tax-happy RINOs (which I'm all too familiar with down here in TN, an endangered income-tax free state) will go with Fernald. I'd think perhaps a more modest win of the mid to high 50s (60% is possible) for Benson. But you do have to be careful not to rub the opposition's face too much in it, or they will definitely turn out. I guess it's all in the tact.
