No, I don't. I'm referring to turnout. The lower turnout always favors the Pubbies.
But you're right about the off-year White House troubles. However, using that same historical pattern, Dubya's high approval ratings mean the GOP has a decent chance of breaking even or gaining seats.

Just heard the report on NBC about how the economic report out today may spell big trouble for the Republicans. They cut to a sound bite of Bush saying he wants the economy to do better. But of course he's had no new economic proposals - that's me saying that, not the NBC report. The reporter said people could be angry when they look at their 401(k) statements next month. The knee jerk Free Republic reaction to that is that it's typical liberal media B.S., but the fact is they're not ALWAYS wrong. The economic recovery HAS stalled. People will want to blame someone. It doesn't matter how popular Bush is.
