Article 1. That all Government of right originates from the People, is founded in compact only, and instituted solely for the good of the whole; and they have, at all times, the inalienable right to alter, reform or abolish their Form of Government in such manner as they may deem expedient.
I sure feel sorry for District 18. Steven Dirlik has already found an expedient manner in which to reform and abolish the form of government. Call it a democracy and it is changed. "A Republic, if you can keep it."
I wonder if he understands that the basis for Republicans is republicanism? Maybe not.
HC, ya'll might need to talk to Mr. Steve and check his actual knowledge before electing him. I thought ya'll were trying to get rid of RINOs.
But Republicans never cease to amaze in their singular lack of PR savy. They are the Arabs of the political universe, in my opinion. They think just saying something should be enough, and in theory of course they're right, but all people or organizations that want to accomplish their goals need to be circumspect about PR.
The only PR campaign that the Republicans excelled in over the last 10 years was the Harry and Louise PR stuff that they backed in order to shut down Hillary's "healthcare" plan. They need more of that kind of creative counterpoint strategy, as well as be willing to get into peoples' faces when it's appropriate to do so. Watching Republicans interviewed makes my hair hurt. They are painfully inept at burying the hatchet in the skull of the very opponent who is attempting to do the same to them. They need to get some gonads.
Please do try to find the time to take on this position. All politics IS local. Our CC situation is a mess. No leadership and thus no coordination is going on amongst GOP races in terms of PR, etc.
