Very true. Unfortunately, it’s not just liberal women, but I would say that it’s mostly women that have never had children, just a guess on my part, but they are adamant about this issue and think Republicans are just horrible for trying to take the choice away. It never occurs to them to argue and promote using birth control, abstaining and all the things that you can do to not be put in this situation. They are really brainwashed on this one.
“It never occurs to them to argue and promote using birth control, abstaining and all the things that you can do to not be put in this situation.”
The issue for them is what do they do when they don’t do those things (which has happened millions of times and always will), or those things don’t work (I know, abstention is the one that always works). In that case they want options, which includes abortion - and I don’t see that changing to any meaningful (i.e., election outcome-altering) degree. The genie is WAY out of the bottle.
“I would say that it’s mostly women that have never had children”
I never had children, and never wanted to. (And never did.) I think abortion is heinous and literal murder. I’ll never understand the dolts who pass on simple birth control when the potential for pregnancy is great. One is simple; the other is the opposite of simple.
Abortion can be outlawed in every single state, but it still will happen. Changing the hearts of women (and men, who also love abortion) is the absolute ONLY way to end it.
Hearts won’t be changed as long as America continues on the current trajectory when it comes to religion and the First Amendment.
Most abortions are performed on women who already have children.
