First: A house divided can’t win. So long as the GOP works against itself, this result will be repeated. The GOPe won’t accept MAGA and MAGA won’t put up with the GOPe. They had better find a way to coexist or neither will.
Second: it is sad to say that for many voters, the world can go to shit so long as they can get and abortion. That issue will continue to drive the selfish amongst our society to vote for the Dems.

In the Presidential elections from 1988 to 2012, conservatives had to hold their noses and vote for the moderate. Trump and the events of the early 2020s radicalized the conservative base. The Rush Limbaughs and William Buckleys have been replaced by Tucker Carlson, Alex Jones, and Joe Rogan. The Democrats grow bolder by the month in both their abuses of power and their gaslighting. Glenn Youngkin said a few days ago that he thought that Biden was legitimately elected President in hopes of pleasing moderate voters. He was rewarded with the Republicans losing the lower house of the state legislature.
