It is even beyond what your describe. This is the flip side of the coin in how the USA and the west defeated Soviet Communism. The Democrat Party Communism is now destroying the American economy in the great payback.

Soviet Communism and the Soviet Union in general hemorrhaged and collapsed upon itself due to wasting billions trying to outrace the US in high tech expenditures. The communist Biden Administration is trying the reverse and wants to spend us into collapse.

I would bet money on Poland staking a claim on West Ukraine (in more benign terms, such as establishing a protectorate or a 'peacekeeping' force) happening before Ukraine reclaims Crimea from Russian control.

There will be no need for Holand to stake any claim to the territories that the USSR stole from them. Ukraine is shortly joining the European Union and Holand is a member of the same. Anyone from Holand who wants to return to their old property will shortly be allowed to do so.

Even better they will be under the protection of NATO when they do so.

Or, just maybe, they're thinking of using obscurants to interfere with missiles that rely on radar for homing...like Harpoons, which Ukraine still possesses and uses.

Not all missiles in use throughout the world rely on GPS or inertial guidance systems, if you can believe it.
