It’s very hard to fake a 25% margin of victory, and hard to go on doing that in election after election. If you live in New York or Illinois or Massachusetts or New Jersey, you know your state’s politics are messed up and your neighbors vote wrong. It shouldn’t be hard for Californians to come to the same conclusion. That California used to vote Republican doesn’t mean they aren’t voting Democrat now.
