Yeah, afraid of admitting they and their institutions were China/Gates/CDC funded is likely more the situation...
"I didn't tell the truth because of (fill in the blank)."
Can you imagine? About such a serious topic, they’re still concerned with petty partisan warfare.
No one was professional enough to come out with the real data. Better to have people needlessly dying than to stand with the President of the United States!
So...at best, they weren’t “following the science”, they were following the ideology and emotions.
That is worse than admitting they were stupid.
Watch
Example how the media implied Trump was a racist if he blamed it on China

TDS is real, is still raging across leftist quarters, both here and around the world and is as potentially deadly as any virus.
There’s a lot of that going around these days.
“We have no ethics and will lie because politics” -Scientists
What has become of searching for the truth? Why must “the agenda” be the driver of everything that is reported? People are catching on!
That makes them anything but experts. It makes them politicians.
“Science” contains a handful of brilliant people and a massive army of plodders. The journals are there to establish and defend orthodoxy.
Trump Derangement Syndrome is real.
So these dipshits would rather be identified with the ChiComs?
Okay.
Same “settled science” that the koolaid drinkers here ar FR use to claim that the frankenjabs are safe.
The desire to avoid Trump/make Trump look bad/bolster his enemies was THE DRIVING FORCE at the upper levels of US Public Health policy in the Spring and Summer of 2020.
I saw it with my own eyes.
If something good was to be done, but it would “help” Trump, it was blocked. If something wrong was to be done, as long as it hurt Trump, it was full speed ahead.
TPIDerek, you’re one of the few Hit and Run spammers left. The rest have mostly quit or been zotted. In the words of Chris Rock, “What are you, a Betamax?”
There is a FReepathon going on!

A Harvard scientist claims her colleagues were afraid of voicing support for the Wuhan lab leak theory, a possible origin for the coronavirus pandemic, because they were afraid of being “associated with Trump.”
The comments tend to indicate that experts were guided more by politics than their allegiance to ‘the Science.’
Alina Chan, a postdoctoral associate at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard University who specializes in genetic engineering, is one of 18 researchers who published a letter in the journal Science last month calling for a more in-depth investigation into the virus’s origin.
“Theories of accidental release from a lab and zoonotic spillover both remain viable,” the letter reads. “Knowing how COVID-19 emerged is critical for informing global strategies to mitigate the risk of future outbreaks.”
That is true whether the discussion is today, last month when the letter was published, or last year when the pandemic was peaking.
But what Chan told NBC News illuminates the fact that scientists were pressured away from following their naturally curious minds. Why? Because they were afraid.
The @ScienceMagazine letter is here for reference:
“Theories of accidental release from a lab and zoonotic spillover both remain viable.”
“We must take hypotheses about both natural and laboratory spillovers seriously until we have sufficient data.”https://t.co/YOWlPCzVeL

Pathetic weasels!
So these people are pretend scientists, they certainly are not REAL scientists who follow fact and truth above all. They should be terminated immediately because who would ever be dumb enough to believe them ever again.
