Most websites nowadays are “HTTPS”, i.e. secure sites. Freerepublic is still “HTTP”.
A lot of security software doesn’t like that.
The only warning I have ever gotten is from the security certificate warning from the browser saying things dont match up after FR has done an upgrade or failed to upgrade their security certs.
I havent used any anti virus software in well over a decade. I must have good click diclipling because it has been quite a while since I have had any malware, hi-jacking or virus issues. My complaint is with the OS (Win10) itself and the ever continuing updates on the core itself. There is no need to reconfigure my machine 3 or 4 times a week behind my back. I have 2 older boxes running linux and about to switch my main machine over.
