My point was/is that there were a few SCOTUS past "supposedly conservative" women you could have used in your "for example" besides McCain/Snowe/Murkowski...

My response would have entirely different...
It would have been: "Indeed, the GOP has a piss-poor history for SCOTUS women... However, this one is an Antonin Scalia-clone lock..."

As we all know by now...there are no guarantees on this kind of thing. We have to pull the trigger with the best we can, and hope it travels straight and true. Like Thomas. And Scalia.
