Well. Ya. It’s kind of a parent’s basic role. Educating their kids

We’ve given up education to the government. That’s a problem.

Exactly. They are closing the schools for (some) another year; but, don't let your kid learn anything during that time. I think the real fear is how much the kids learn OUTSIDE a public school classroom, when they are taught by a tutor, or go to a private/religious school.

Those union workers do not want parents to discover how unessential they are.
