The Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia is advising parents not to hire private tutors for their children, claiming it would widen the gap in educational access between students who can and those who cant afford private tutors
While [the Fairfax County Public School system] doesnt and cant control these private tutoring groups, we do have concerns that they may widen the gap in educational access and equity for all students, the FCPS said in a memo Friday.

About a week ago the NYT had an article blaming the education gap on white parents who cared about their kids’ success and tried to do something about it. Tutoring, forming learning ‘pods’ is bad because ‘parents of color’ can’t or won’t do the same thing.
Parents, get your kids out of public schools, one way or another.
I am so glad to see what these education leaders are saying. Why? Because they finally are acknowledging to their constituents that the public school education system is a farce. So folks, either you need to hire a private tudor or send your kids to private schools because the public school system is a failure
