The Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia is advising parents not to hire private tutors for their children, claiming it would widen the gap in educational access between students who can and those who cant afford private tutors
While [the Fairfax County Public School system] doesnt and cant control these private tutoring groups, we do have concerns that they may widen the gap in educational access and equity for all students, the FCPS said in a memo Friday.

No child left behind = Hold them all back
In California, Newsom is FINING parents who hire a tutor!!!
So Step Grand kids parents were boasting about how there son is so smart that he could complete the days assignments on computer in about 2 hours. (He is actually smart, but there are a lot of smart kids. So unless you went to MIT at age 14 I dont want to hear it as I know 2 people that did just that)
So I replied with, I guess he is really being challenged, huh?
This literally makes no sense. Its stupid. Its idiotic.
I had to look because I was sure this was The Onion or Babylon Bee. Nope, theyre totally serious, and nuts.
“equity” - there’s that word again. Jordan Peterson warned us.
equality of opportunity thingy
Soon these school administrators will say that students who do their homework have an unfair advantage over those who don’t do their homework. As crazy as that idea sounds, it is sadly no longer outside the bounds of possibility.
Public shools should been abandoned......the administraters are out of their G-D Damn minds.
What a bunch of damn commie pinkos SOBs!
Theyve got ZERO right to say a thing. The bastards wont allow kids in schools and then whine when parents do something like this. Argh!!!!!
VA should teach English to make online learning more beneficial.
I am sure there are tutors who do pro-bono work. But even if there aren’t schooling is never going to be completely equal, either in access or outcome. Parents who care will do what they can to fill in gaps. It’s not always about money.
We've been faked out for quite a while now
In our dream we have limitless resources, and the people yield themselves with perfect docility to our molding hand. The present educational conventions fade from our minds; and, unhampered by tradition, we work our own good will upon a grateful and responsive rural folk. We shall not try to make these people or any of their children into philosophers or men of learning or of science. We are not to raise up among them authors, orators, poets, or men of letters. We shall not search for embryo great artists, painters, musicians. Nor will we cherish even the humbler ambition to raise up from among them lawyers, doctors, preachers, statesmen, of whom we now have ample supply."

....no, sadly.....very true....typical of the mindset of the folks within the Peoples Democratic Republic of Northern Virginia... that area is not considered as “real Virginia” to the many other millions who do not reside in the NoVa area of the Commonwealth.........
I hope Tucker Carlson sees this story...
Id never put my kid in a school system that said something as stupid as that
In keeping with our communist playbook, it is required that we drag all the students down to the level of the lowest performing student in the class .... even if that student is autistic.
I started to read it and thought this has to be the onion. I was shocked its legitimate. Scary.
Seriously?
Whos gonna turn them in if the family keeps it quiet?
I would rename the tutor as a personal assistant.
