President Trumps mental acuity again became a hot button topic this week after the president boasted acing what many called an easy cognitive test.
If youre in the office of the presidency, we have to be sharp, President Trump told Fox News medical correspondent, Dr. Marc Siegel, on Wednesday. It was 30 or 35 questions. The first questions are very easy, the last questions are much more difficult.
Trump said he requested the test a little less than a year ago to silence critics who have repeatedly called his mental fitness into question.
Trump cited as one of the more difficult questions one that required him to repeat a set of words in the correct order.

Awesome.
I just went through the test and had no problem with any of it. The only one Im not sure of is memorizing the sequence of 8 numbers. Remembering them long enough to recite them in order was no problem, but then when I tried to recite them backwards, I forgot the sequence. I tried it a second time, this time memorizing them as two 4 digit numbers - then I was able to recite them backwards with no problem.
When I thought I had to list as many words as possible starting with an F in 60 seconds I thought it seemed hard - but then I found out I could stop at 11 words - piece of cake - I had gotten over fifty.
Your story reminds me of my job with the last census operation. I took the test and EA’s called in immediately for a chat. They could not believe I got “all of the answers correct” and they made me a field supervisor.
The questions were so simple I couldn’t believe anyone would get them wrong! I. Talked to family and friends (one of them a lawyer) and sure enough.. they didn’t ace it.
Unbelievable sometimes.
I’m pretty much a visual learner. If the numbers were read to me I don’t think I would do as well.
Good point. I think Im the same way.
Yup, those ‘simple’ tests are often the highest quality. The people who write them are true masters of the subject matter and know the key points that demark potential success.
