Shooting someone is not detaining someone!
We all clearly saw their last attempt to ‘detain’ Aubrey...
They did not talk to him. They did not demand he stop.
The dad finally, belatedly called 911.
Then the son stepped around the front of the truck and shot Aubery in the chest.
Pro tip: Call the police at the START of the chase next time.
